On July 09, 2018, before the cameras and American people, President Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the United States Supreme Court. With his family beside him, the Kavanaugh’s presented a picture of a wholesome all American family. When the president finished his introduction, Judge Kavanaugh spoke first of his family, after introducing his wife and two young daughters, he mentioned his mother, who was in attendance, and of the profound influence, she played in his life.

Now you would tend to think that such a man, a brilliant and gifted lawyer and highly respected Circuit Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals, top of his class in at Yale University (BA/JD) and whose credentials were above reproach, would garner nothing but respect and praise from all quarters; but not so in the America of today.

Since the day of his nomination, Judge Kavanaugh has been a victim of the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. We have witnessed an all-out assault on the nominee from all factions of the wicked, deranged and hypocritical liberal progressive assault squad, this would include Democrats, mainstream media, radical feminists, Planned Parenthood, Hollywood, and other assorted malcontents.

Finally, the day arrived, September 04, for the confirmation hearings of Judge Kavanaugh to begin. From the outset, in only the first few seconds of the hearings, before the committee Chairman Senator Grassley spoke no more than several words, the Democrat’s game plan and agenda were revealed. Senator Camilla Harris of California interrupted the chairman, and from that point on the tone and tenor of the proceedings went downhill. This was especially true when paid protesters interrupted the proceedings on numerous occasions drowning out speakers; some had to be dragged out of the hearings by Capitol Police. Senator Cornyn of Texas used the term “mob rule” to describe the goings on.

With few exceptions, this was a farce and a spectacle, Democrats constantly interrupted and complained about their access to what they felt were a limited number of documents from the Judges past tenures, although the documents that were released far exceeded the number that was available for all past Justices combined. On a number of occasions, they requested that the proceedings be postponed until they were given more documents to study. Republicans denied both requests.

And then there was Cory Booker, a self-aggrandizing and constitutionally incompetent senator, and 2020 presidential hopeful. Booker’s disgraceful antics, and his fabricated attempt at martyrdom for defying Senate rules by releasing confidential emails, which had already been released, to his embarrassing “I am Spartacus moment”, proved himself a poor excuse for a member of Congress. But Booker was not alone, his trusted accomplices, Kamala Harris (CA), Mazie Hirono (HI) Richard Blumenthal (CT) among others did their parts in defying tradition, harassing Judge Kavanaugh, and making of the hearings a circus.

Is there any reason not to believe the democrat party is in the throes of desperation and that it has lost purpose and is out of control, adrift on a turbulent sea with no land in sight. Not only have they allowed a radical extreme element to subvert whatever message they might have had, for a far left socialist agenda, but the party lack decorum and equanimity; their actions as on display were embarrassing, uncivil, and totally unprofessional.

What was so abhorrent to the Democrats about Judge Kavanaugh that they would go to such extremes as to make themselves look so repulsive? Let me assure you it had nothing to do with his knowledge and qualifications. Behind closed doors, I will wager they sing his praises. There was only one reason, and that consumed a greater part of the confirmation hearings. The cause célèbre of the entirety of the democrat and liberal establishment, threatened by the Judge, is the right to an abortion. Not something noble or worthy like saving lives, helping the poor, indigent and helpless, but destroying innocent life. It makes many of us who respect the sanctity and dignity of all life disheartened and at the same time outraged at such callous disregard for the unborn.

As an example of how extreme the Left is on this issue, one article by some nondescript kook who shall remain nameless takes the discussion one step further down the path to absurdity. In an open letter this writer implores four Republican senators, who are as yet undecided, to vote against Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court by quoting from the words of Jesus Christ, from the New Testament, in the Gospel of Mark (8:36) “For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul”.  You must admit invoking the words of the Messiah, as an incentive to justify denying the right to life of the unborn, is not only the height of irreverence, but can best be described as the thinking of a depraved and desperate mind that will say or do anything, even blaspheme the word of God for their malicious deadly intent.
