A reporter for CNN recently took to social media to complain that she and her crew had their car windows bashed in and were robbed “again” as they worked covering crime in San Francisco.

I hate to laugh at this adversity — because the soaring crime rates in California are not funny — but, come on. It happened to CNN.

CNN senior national correspondent Kyung Lah was complaining on Twitter after the robbery when their cars suffered a smash and grab outside city hall, no less. Worse, Lah noted that they had people standing watch over the cars, but it happened anyway.

“Got robbed. Again. [ Co-worker Jason Kravarik] & I were at city hall in San Francisco to do an interview for CNN,” Lah tweeted. “We had security to watch our rental car + crew car. Thieves did this in under 4 seconds. Security stopped the jerks from stealing other bags. But seriously – this is ridiculous.”

As to Mr. Kravarik, he tweeted that they guy they hired to watch their car “risked his life” but still failed to stop the crime.

Lah later tweeted that that the airlines at San Francisco International Airport are so used to hearing that people lost their IDs and luggage in smash and grabs in the city that they have a quick system to deal with customers who lo longer have their IDs.

Businesses are closing sores down in San Francisco because theft is so rampant and lenient DAs funded by anti-American billionaire George Soros won’t prosecute anyone.

And according to Breitbart News, half of the city’s residents say they have been a victim of crime.

“The Chronicle also reported that two-thirds (65%) of residents said life in the city had declined since they had moved there: “[T]he greatest unhappiness stems from frustration with the city’s biggest, seemingly intractable problems — particularly homelessness, public safety and housing affordability — as well as with the politicians who haven’t solved them yet.'” Breitbart reported.
