Homicides have skyrocketed in the U.S. and leading the horrid stats is a 48 percent increase in the murders of children under 18.

Recently the Wall Street Journal reported that the Gun Violence Archive found that 311 children died from gun shots in 2021.

That is a 48 percent hike over the 210 kids felled by such violence in 2019.

This terrible reality comes after two years of the leftist attack on Police in the form of the defund the police movement.

Even some Democrats seem to be getting the memo, though. On Sunday, Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi even claimed that the defund the police movement is not a Democrat policy.

“Make no mistake, community safety is our responsibility,” Pelosi said on ABC’s This Week, according to Politico. “I quote one of my colleagues from New York, Ritchie Torres, a brand new member of Congress way on the left, saying that ‘defund the police’ is dead. That causes a concern with a few in our caucus. But public safety is our responsibility.”

ABC host George Stephanopoulos reminded Pelosi that her underling, Missouri Rep. Cori Bush, has made the defund the police a major part of her campaign.

“That’s not the position of the Democratic Party, with all due respect to Cori Bush,” Pelosi replied. “Community safety to protect and defend in every way is our oath of office.”

Pelosi’s isn’t fooling anyone, though. Everyone fully understands that the Democrat Party is 100 percent connected to the anti-American defund the police movement.
