Conservative Commentator, author and all around smart guy, Ben Shapiro, was finally given the opportunity to speak on the
campus of UC Berkeley a couple of days ago.
The run up to, during and after his speech was an expensive and logistical nightmare. All so one conservative could give one speech on an ultra-liberal college campus.
Shapiro says it cost around $600,000 for police to protect the event. Because of the heavy police presence, it went off with few problems. Think about that. This was a single speech given by a single conservative. It wasn’t a gathering of conservative thinkers – not a round table or conference. It was one guy.
Unlike previous Conservative speakers, Shapiro, and the campus, was afforded the protection necessary for the speech to go off virtually without a hitch.
