Robert Mueller’s investigative team issued a list of about 40+ questions to the president and his lawyers on an exhaustive array of issues that covered a wide spectrum of both pertinent and in some cases innocuous subject matter. The intent was to determine whether President Trump colluded with Russia in the 2016 election, and/or obstructed justice in the inquiry by the special investigator.

Although not quite a conspiracy theory, but perhaps you may consider it a bit farfetched, what if there was another reason for the questions. With this in mind I ask that you kindly indulge my theory. But before that in an effort to enlighten the reader, I have gathered as many of the questions as were available at the time.

*What did you know about phone calls that Mr. Flynn made with the Russian ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak, in late December 2016?

After over a year’s investigation, with all its schemes and leaks and what in many instances appeared to be nefarious means of obtaining information, what if these questions had nothing to do with getting to the truth. That the highly regarded Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein found themselves in positions that could prove to be personally embarrassing and possibly damage their reputations.

So in order to avoid this from occurring, and having to stand before the American people and admit that there is nothing there, and that President Trump had no involvement is any Russian collusion and did not attempt to undermine or obstruct justice, they came up with a litany of what in many cases amounted to ridiculous questions that might cause a very high-spirited president to react with disgust and impatience, and strike out and the result is he fires both Mueller and Rosenstein. This would give them an excuse, a way out, without having to admit defeat. They could then blame the president for stopping any further investigation, and he would bear the brunt of criticism and calls for impeachment.

The hopes and dreams of the democrats, hate mongers, and the never-Trump crowd would be shattered, an uproar would ensue that stretched from sea to shining sea, and a new controversy would begin.
