Recently I received the following email from the Democrat Party:

                               Join us.

Earlier today, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced new charges against 12 Russian intelligence officers accused of hacking the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign in 2016.

This indictment from Special Counsel Robert Mueller makes it clearer than ever: The Russian government attacked our democracy in 2016, and the DNC was a primary target of that attack. We have also learned just how vast this operation was — including Russian intelligence officers’ intrusion into the website of a state election board and theft of information related to approximately 500,000 voters.

That’s not just an attack on the DNC. That’s an attack on American voters.

This is not a witch hunt and it’s certainly not a joke, as Donald Trump has desperately and incorrectly argued in the past. Trump and his Republican enablers’ efforts to discredit these established facts only embolden Putin’s Russia and invite further attacks on our country.

The American people deserve to know the truth, and the special counsel’s investigation is ongoing.

It’s time for Donald Trump and his allies in the Republican Party to stop ignoring this threat to our national security. If you agree, it’s an important day for you to say so — add your name now.

Thank you, Tom Perez, Chair, Democratic National Committee

And here’s my Reply…

Dear Tom:

I am ever amazed that a man with a law degree cannot recognize how false is a move like indicting government employees who are not only in another country, but 10,000 miles and ten time zones away!  This is a sham and joke and you either fell for it or are that stupid.

Why, pray tell, do you refer to “our democracy” when we are a constitutional and representative republic?  A democracy does not have elected representatives.  The people vote on every issue and there is no constitution.  The people make it up as they go along.  You cannot tell me you would abide that arrangement.  On second thought, I believe you would!

If the Russian government hacked into the Democratic National Committee computers the election was not their target.  They were after something else.  They likely thought Mrs. Clinton would win so anything untoward they could find on her would be of use.  That such material was there is indicated by the DNC refusal to let the FBI examine their computers and servers.

Press accounts also claim the Russians got a voter list from one of our 3141 counties and how they could use that has not been described or even speculated by anyone as such a list would have no possible use unless they also had thousands of collaborators in the one precinct they were said to have gotten the list for.  Finally, what effect would have on a national election with 30,000 precincts?

You are losing it, Tom.
