Actor and convicted hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett has “gone there” over his jail sentence saying that the only reason he got 15 months in jail is because he’s black.
And here I thought it was because he’s a hack actor!
The former Empire cast member is reportedly telling all his pals that he is a victim of a racist Illinois judge… you know, that “racist” blue state where every judge is an extreme left-winger.
Of course, you likely already know the story. In January of 2019, Smollett reported to the Chicago Police that he was the victim of a pair of white racists wearing MAGA hats who yelled “This is MAGA country” at him. He said he was beaten, sprayed with bleach, and had a noose put around his neck.
First of all… it was downtown Chicago. No one is walking around in a Trump hat, attacking gay black guys, and yelling about “MAGA country.” It was an obvious lie from that, alone.
But, suspicions over that aside, when the Chicago Police investigated, they found no video of anyone matching Smollett’s description anywhere in the area (an area that was literally carpeted in video cameras).
Then the cops found evidence that Smollett planned the fake assault with two brothers with whom he was friends.
All the while, Smollett insisted that he was not lying — despite the mountains of evidence against him. And eventually he was convicted of filing a false police report and lying about being a victim of a hate crime.
Before sentencing last week, the judge in his case blasted the actor, calling him a “charlatan,” saying “your hypocrisy is astounding” and “you wanted to make yourself more famous” through the elaborate, “premeditated” caper and then “you threw a national pity party for yourself.” But the worst part, Linn said, was that Smollett lied to authorities about it all — and then committed perjury on the witness stand.
Smollett went on a whacky rant saying that he isn’t “suicidal,” but he is also now telling friends that he is a victim of racism, according to TMZ.
