The New York Post reported on Sunday that Israel hasn’t begun the invasion of Gaza because President Biden wants them to hold any incursion into Gaza because he believes that he can negotiate the release of the 200 hostages held by Hamas. It’s a noble goal, but it is as likely to happen as me waking up in the morning with my bald head covered with hair.
The development came as Israel ramped up its bombardment in Gaza ahead of its planned all-out invasion and clashes along the Israel-Lebanon border grew — with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warning Sunday that if the Lebanese terror group Hezbollah “decides to enter the war … it will be the mistake of its life.”
President Biden and other US officials remained in frantic talks to delay the Gaza invasion of Israel Defense Forces so that more hostages might be freed before the Palestinian territory dissolves further into a war zone, sources briefed on the talks told CNN.
Joe Biden has been an excellent Israeli ally so far in the war that Hamas thrust upon Israel. Hamas is a terrorist group that wants to destroy Israel. Sadly, Biden’s delay of any IDF ground action gives the impression that he really doesn’t understand Hamas.

What can he give Hamas to free the hostages? Millions of dollars? Suppose Biden gives Hamas money to release the hostages. In that case, it might delay any new action against Israel until they use the money to arm themselves enough for another attack against the Jewish State. He might get Hamas to release some hostages, but not the Israeli ones. That goes against their Charter ( constitution). Biden’s attempt to free hostages is just a fool’s errand. Hamas planned to take hostages as part of its incursion into Israel. It gives them another “weapon” to use against Israel.
Biden’s response is precisely what the terrorists want: He treats them as equals as a negotiation partner. It delays Israel’s incursion into Gaza to eliminate Hama terrorists;
As the IDF action is delayed, the emotional response to the Hamas massacres that drove the world to support Israel will wane. Instead of comments supporting Israel, they will turn into the words they use about any Israeli defensive action, “disproportionate response.”
Why can’t world leaders understand that Hamas wants to drive Israel into the sea” and kill all the Jews? Don’t believe me, believe Hamas; below are excerpts of the Hamas charter.

Nothing in nationalism is more significant or deeper than in the case when an enemy should tread Muslim land. Resisting and quelling the enemy become the individual duty of every Muslim.” (Hamas Charter, Article 12)
“Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement […] There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad.” (Hamas Charter, Article 13)

That’s just a taste of Hamas hatred. But world leaders ignore those words like they ignored Mein Kampf 90 years ago.
But even if they have good intentions, world leaders, including President Biden, are pushing for a delay in any Israeli ground action, a cease-fire, negotiations, or any other action that will make those leaders feel better. Sadly, the only effect of those delays is another Hamas attack on Israel. The action of Israel to defend her citizens will cause those presidents, prime ministers, party leaders, etc., to have the opportunity to call any defensive action by Israel a disproportionate response.
