Biden Reauthorizes COVID Emergency — There’s No ‘Emergency,’ They Just Want the Power

Despite that he only just proclaimed that COVID was “over,” Joe Biden has just renewed his “COVID emergency” powers for another 90 days.

These fascists don’t care about any COVID “crisis.” They only care about the power the “emergency” gives them.

According to the Wall Street Journal:

The Biden administration extended the Covid-19 pandemic’s status as a public health emergency for another 90 days, preserving measures such as expanded Medicaid and higher payments to hospitals.

The decision follows comments President Biden made in September describing the pandemic as over. Some Republican lawmakers said afterward that the administration should wind down its pandemic response and the emergency designation.

Another 90 days?

Wasn’t this the same guy who just told 60 Minutes: “The pandemic is over. We still have a problem with Covid. We’re still doing a lot of work on it. But the pandemic is over.”

And what does Biden want? Money and power.

The White House has asked Congress for $22.4 billion in additional pandemic funding. Republican lawmakers have said the administration has untapped Covid-19 relief funds it should be using first. Republican Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington and Brett Guthrie of Kentucky said Thursday that the administration has failed to provide a detailed plan to unwind the pandemic emergency.

There is no COVID emergency.
