Often you will hear something like, “what occurs in Israel effects the entire world.”
Well…if you hear there are growing tensions actually on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, you can be assured the entire world will be impacted in some measure. There are growing tensions on Temple Mount; always a delicate location but nowadays even more so, and especially with Turkish President Erdogen yesterday calling for Muslims to flood Temple Mount! (Read more here.)
To make all of this more complex (as if that was necessary) the country of Turkey is a NATO partner with the United States containing strategic American bases within it’s’ borders. This fact may be on a collision course, as the Turkish dictator Erdogen is greatly engaged in a massive power grab in his country and in the region, and is attempting to position himself as a force with which to be reckoned. Erdogen has now called on President Trump not to fulfill his campaign promise to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Erdogen is also calling on increased Muslim pilgrimages to Jerusalem by the hundreds of thousands as a form of reclaiming the land which was “stolen” from Muslims by the Jews; in fact, the Turkish President just declared: “Each day Jerusalem is under occupation is an insult to us.”
While this developing military and political “hot spot” is growing in intensity another factor is that the fight over God’s city on earth has been brewing, with intermittent flash-points, for more than 3,000 years. Satan has influenced various rulers to try and separate God’s Chosen People from God’s city since King David established Jerusalem as the Jewish capital. Make no mistake that this fight, and the quickly coming turmoil, is but another sign of the Spiritual warfare Satan has launched against God Himself. Using people, nations, families, institutions, rulers and governments, armies and even those who march in God’s Name is simply not a big deal to the true and real enemy to God…Satan. Knowing full well the return of Yeshua will occur over the City of Jerusalem to make all things new and to redeem His creation (Psalm 2:6), Satan continues to use whomever he can to disrupt God’s role for Jerusalem in the Last Days. We are the generation that holds very good seats to watch all of this unfold according to God’s plan, not Satan’s or man’s schemes.
