Fox News suffered a “catastrophic drop in viewers” the day after they unceremoniously dump star host Tucker Carlson.

Indeed, the 8 p.m. slot that used to be Tucker’s weekday domain lost nearly half its viewers over all, and a disastrous 70 percent in the most wanted age demographic.

Tucker was averaging 3.2 million viewers a night. But on Tuesday, Kilmeade only earned 1.7 million viewers at 8 PM.

According to AdWeek, Tucker’s penultimate show pulled in 2,992,000 viewers and destroyed the competition at CNN. Anderson Cooper only got 543,000 viewers, and at MSNBC, Chris Hayes pulled 1,372,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, Fox lost the 25-54 age audience in a massive way.

Kilmeade was only able to attract 149,000 25-54 viewers while CNN managed 163,000 and MSNBC got 162,000 viewers. This was nowhere near what Tucker used to get and proof that he was king of the demo.

Viewers are not the only major loss Fox has suffered. It’s stock also plummeted.

Will this be a permanent loss? Time will tell.

Tucker had a message for his legions of fans on Wednesday,

Amazingly, he had far more views on his Tweet than he had on Fox News.
