The White House deleted its lie that Joe Biden gave seniors a raise in their Social Security benefits after social media site Twitter fact-checked the claim.
On Wednesday morning, the White House posted a tweet saying, “Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership.”
But Twitter did not let this lie stand. The truth is, Biden had nothing whatever to do with this raise in benefits. As Twitter noted, the raise was “due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate.”
In other words. It was baked into the system. Biden didn’t do anything to implement this raise. His so-called “leadership” had nothing at all to do with it.
Then, suddenly, the White House deleted the tweet:

I must admit, I am not a big fan of these fact-checks of political statements.
Yes, Biden lied. But that is a political matter, and I don’t feel social media has any role in attaching statements to political posts whether the political post is a lie or not.
Twitter had every right to post a reply to Biden’s lie, sure. But I don’t like this idea of appending statements to political posts that were not added by the original poster.
If a politician is lying, that is up to his opposition and the voters to decide, not a social media company to decide for you.
That being said, the whole incident is sweet as heck. So-called “fact-checks” like these never, ever happened to liberals until Musk took over Twitter.
Now a Joe Biden lie has been fact-checked TWICE lately!
