“Don” is the title for a gentleman in Spain, a professor at Oxford and Cambridge and a contraction for “Donald” as in the case of Donald J. Trump, our duly elected President and we say he is unbeatable in 2020.
The August 7, 2018 special elections six of seven Republicans won, but by thin margins, are seen as an indicator of a Democrat “Blue Wave” election for the November Mid-Term elections. We think not. Why?
All of these special elections included unknown, uninspiring candidates. Only 40% of Republicans voted while 90% of Democrats, inspired by major media drum-beating for their side caused 90% of their numbers to vote, but the kicker is that many voted for Republicans! This is unheard of as special elections rarely see more than 30% of the registered voters participate and generally it is only the party faithful who consistently vote party. This was a “change” election, but no one in media reported it as such!
Where Republicans won by few point margins, as little as one in several cases the situation could be described by having 40 Republicans and 90 Democrats, but 66 voted for Republicans. This is not good news for the Democrats as it reveals that at the base of their voters about one-fifth is unhappy with what is happening to the party to vote for the other side! This is far worse than if they did not vote at all
Where this is the case it can only get worse for Democrats as time erodes their lies much like water dissolving a sugar cube. It is the clockwork mechanism caused by Donald J. Trump. The truth is on his side.
The most exciting and successful faction of the Democrat Party is that of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who has a nine point, “Free Everything” plan that makes Democrats blush. In spite of her degree in economics she cannot explain how her plan is economically feasible.
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is for (1) Free Medicare for all, (2) guaranteed jobs for all, (3) Free college, (4) Free family sick leave, (5) Free right to housing, (6) End the War On Drugs, (7) Abolish ICE, (8) Abolish fossil fuel for 100% green energy and (9) End corporate money in politics.
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez has a degree in economics from a liberal college and we have serious doubt about her education, veracity and capacity. You do not have to do much “hard pencil” work to see her plan is ignorant to the point of insanity. Nonetheless, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is a very significant indicator of the Democrat frame of mind and strategy.
When the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Tom Perez, Esq. says, “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the future of the Democratic Party!” we can only say “Hooray!” and from both sides realize that we have an unbeatable Don
