By Jeff Davidson,
Attending a mixer, I met a woman who was a professor. She lived one town over and was active in sports and in a number of other pastimes. I saw online that she was a registered Republican. This surprised me because so few professors seem to be Republicans. And, these days, it can be a risky endeavor, given that in many universities, the percentage of Democrat or Progressive professors is above 85%.
I thought to myself, “When it comes to politics, she must be handcuffed in her personal life. She can’t write articles, she can’t send opinions to the editor, or put anything in print in which she believes. She can’t bring up topics with her peers at work; they would shun her or find a way to drive her out of her salaried position. She can’t let others know how she feels about certain issues.”
Out of the Shadows, Into the Light
What if everyone involved in education, from grade school through college, with BS degrees, master’s degrees, and PhDs had the right to come out of the shadows? What if they could write about, talk about, and post what they truly feel? Clearly, the observation that these learned people could make would be magnificent and impactful.
Knowing that your views would be seen by others and that you’d be backed up in written and verbal ways, in public forms and institutions, would inspire even more academic Republicans to come out of the shadows and, when appropriate, become vocal about their true political views.
We know why so many people in academia are stifled: cancellation; threats; ostracism. These are the tactics of the Left. They practice them on a continuous basis against virtually anyone who shares any type of opinion that differs from theirs.
What we need in this country and around the world is an initiating spark that will lead to a tidal wave. There is no substitute for having highly learned professors on the Right being able to speak their minds freely, as those on the Left can do.
An Enduring Impact
The wisdom of what academic Republicans have to say would make a tremendous impact. We know that our policies are better. We know that we have the truth, and that the truth will set people free. We know that our nation is great and can be even greater.
Remaining unchecked, It’s only a matter of time before the Leftists would destroy everything that took more than 200 years to put in place. And yet, waiting in the wings, we have a huge reserve of people who can speak eloquently about Conservative policies and views.
The time to speak up is now. We can’t wait another year or two. We can’t allow the Biden Administration to run amuck as it has been doing. We can’t let the Leftists bully us into silence. We need to exhibit the qualities that made this country great: courage; stamina; perseverance. It is up to us. No one is coming to save us.
The Brave Need Our Support
Donald Trump is doing his best. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Tom Cotton, Josh Hawley, Kari Lake, Nikki Haley, Kristi Noem, Jim Jordan, Matt Gates, and others are all doing a tremendous job, but they need support in ways that they have not yet received. We must pick up the slack. We can transform the nation in a hurry, to further our greatness.
We can stop this juggernaut of socialism, Marxism, and insanity that leads to ruin. We need the tidal wave of Conservative thought and views to commence, where professors everywhere, who lean Right, can speak their minds, along with others in key positions: deans of schools, presidents of universities, and heads of think tanks.
All those in the know, collectively, would make a magnificent and profound impact on public discourse in America. We don’t need The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, or any of the corporate-owned Leftist organizations.
Within Our Grasp
Our numbers are vast. Our views are sound. This is within our grasp. Let us all join together and make our voices heard. Let us influence the masses in ways that will benefit them, their children, and their grandchildren, forevermore.
