Twelve Republican Senators joined the Democrats to pass the so-called “Respect for Marriage Act,” a bill that will make traditional Christian ideas about marriage illegal and an actionable offense.

The 12 Republican traitors who voted for this bill are listed as, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Richard Burr and Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Susan Collins of Maine, Joni Ernst of Iowa; Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Rob Portman of Ohio, Mitt Romney of Utah, and Todd Young of Indiana.

The bill will now go to the still Democrat infested House which will quickly pass it and send it to the senile pedophile in chief who will also quickly sign it.

The act, if it becomes law, will outlaw advocacy for all traditional marriage and will make it illegal to oppose gay marriage, or any other type of coupling.

Christians who operate businesses connected to the marriage industry will not be permitted to refuse to work for gay couples, and ministers who advocate against gay marriage will be breaking the law and open for prosecution.

The Democrats opposed an amendment that would protect religious people from this act was rejected and the bill went through without those protections.

Democrat activists will immediately start using this law to persecute religious people. Do not doubt it.
