The price of your Halloween candy has surged 13 percent this year over last amid Joe Biden’s continually failing economy.
Candy prices went up this year… by a lot. Prices are about 13% higher this year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor.
Two main factors have affected prices.
One, ingredients are much more expensive. And two, most candy we buy for Halloween is made in the U.S. and labor costs are up here.
“The labor cost has gone up a lot because of inflation,” UCLA supply-chain expert Professor Christopher Tang told ABC 7. “The workers need to have a higher income so that they can survive.”
“All the ingredients from wrapping paper to the basic ingredients like sugar, and also the cocoa beans that we have imported from Africa. So as a result, every single ingredient, element, and the wages are going up.”
ABC Added: According to the National Retail Federation, the average household will spend about $31.93 on candy this year – up from $25.91 last year.
