On Saturday Senator [score]Ted Cruz[/score] (R-TX) was making his way through the Hoosier State, fighting to win as many votes as he can in the week remaining before the people of Indiana head to the polls to vote on their preferred Primary candidate. While much of what Senator Cruz had to say in Indiana is the same conversation the Senator has been having all over the country, it worked to energize the crowd nonetheless.
Indiana is important for Cruz. In fact, Indiana is a “make or break” state for the Senator. Much like Texas and Wisconsin earlier in the primary, Indiana marks a critical moment for the Cruz campaign.
If Senator Cruz wins the Indiana primary next week, he will likely make it impossible for Mr. Trump to win the majority of delegates before the Republican National Convention in July. However, if Trump is able to win Indiana in convincing fashion, his road to a majority of the delegates becomes far clearer.
With that in mind, Senator Cruz seemed eager to connect to the people of Indiana over the weekend. As eager as Cruz was to win new voters, the folks in this crowd seemed just as eager to express their support for their favored candidate.
