A new study has revealed what most of us already know: if you trust the mainstream media, you are woefully misinformed about what is actually going on.

The latest release from the Skeptic Research Center finds that the media is doing a terrible job of informing people because most media outlets place their left-wing political agenda ahead of reporting the facts.

As HotAir’s David Strom succinctly put it: “Education + Trust in MSM=ignorance.”

“Again, it’s not even close. Education and trust in the MSM are directly correlated with not having a damn clue about the real world. You are better off living in a shack with no internet or TV than having a graduate degree and being a cable news junkie,” Strom sarcastically noted.

Take a look at these results:

The study shows that people with a higher level of formal education also have a higher level of trust in the media liars that spoon deed them the “news.” And that, in turn, causes these “educated” people to believe all sorts of false new “facts.”

This is the same group that earlier this month found that these “educated” people have been fooled by the media into thinking that there are literally thousands of young unarmed black men being murdered annually by the police. When in fact the real number is about 10 per year.

It is all very unsurprising.

Most people with a long list of college degrees are extreme left-wingers. And they love the fake news media. So, it isn’t surprising that they swallow the media’s lies en masse.
