Scotland’s first minister has stepped down after losing the support of her party and voters for her wildly unpopular pandering to the radical transgender agenda.

On Wednesday, First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon announced that she was stepping down after eight years in office.

“Is carrying on right for me?” Sturgeon wondered aloud, according to the New York Times. “And more important, is me carrying on right for my country, my party, and for the independence cause I have spent my life fighting for?”

She then answered her own question, saying, “reached the difficult conclusion that it’s not.”

Sturgeon became a target of displeasure after pushing what she called “Gender Recognition Reform” which was little else but a sop to the extreme left-wing.

The policy allows anyone over 16 to change gender identity without requiring a medical diagnosis for gender dysphoria. IT was passed into law in December.

But the new rules allowed a vicious man who was convicted of raping two women to claim he is a “transgender woman” and to be sent to a women’s prison.

Sturgeon, of course, was rightly accused of turning against her own gender and working to make real women less safe in Scotland.

As she announced she was vacating her position, she added that she “will always be” a feminist, “but I will also stand up for any stigmatized, discriminated against, marginalized and vulnerable group in society.”

Sturgeon then whined that her job was sooooo “brutal.”

Maybe not as brutal as the lives of the women who she sent a rapist to live among, but, you know.

“Giving absolutely everything of yourself to this job is the only way to do it,” Sturgeon piously said. “But in truth, that can only be done by anyone for so long. For me it is now in danger of becoming too long.”

Too long was the first day she took office.

Sturgeon is not leaving the government and said she intends to remain a member of Parliament, but she will vacate the First Ministership as soon as there is someone ready to replace her.

Good for Scotland. Now let’s work on getting rid of the trans panderers here in the USA.
