I’m a North Carolinian and felt compelled to share my opinion on House Bill 2. I will start by saying the government should have never gotten involved with common folks lives. House Bill 2 was failed enforcement of common sense. It could not be enforced. So in general transgender folks should not be pissed off over a law that can’t be enforced and will not affect them. Here’s the thing transgenders don’t think about: a high school girl who claims to be a boy is putting their life in danger the very second they walk into a high school bathroom or especially locker room. Why? High school boys can be rowdy and crazy. All the while boys who claim to be girls have quite a likelihood of harassing girls. I hope this clears up what will be the result of the civil rights ruling claiming it’s a civil right for a boy to use a girl’s bathroom vice versa.
