President Trump seems to be nearing his breaking point when it comes to North Korea.

The rogue hermit-nation has launched yet another ICBM, this one traveling several hundred miles before crashing harmlessly into the Sea of Japan.

Independently verifiable reports from American allies confirm that the test reached frightening new heights.

“Tuesday morning’s missile test reached a height of 2,802 kilometers (1,741 miles), according to state broadcaster Korea Central Television, which would be the highest altitude a North Korean missile had ever reached.

“The country claimed it was an intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM, which would put the United States on notice that Pyongyang could potentially hit the US.
Now, President Trump is responding to North Korea’s continued intransigence.

President Trump, frustrated by China’s unwillingness to lean on North Korea, has told the Chinese leader that the United States is prepared to act on its own in pressuring the nuclear-armed government in Pyongyang, according to senior administration officials.

Mr. Trump’s warning, delivered in a cordial but blunt phone call on Sunday night to President Xi Jinping, came after a flurry of actions by the United States — selling weapons to Taiwan, threatening trade sanctions and branding China for human trafficking — that rankled the Chinese and left little doubt that the honeymoon between the two leaders was over.

While President Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping continue to enjoy a warm relationship, both men are starting to realize that they may not be able to solve our shared woes with camaraderie alone. The USA recently took tough measures against China, and the Chinese have refused to do more than the bare minimum in an effort to please the Americans… and so it has become obvious that the work ahead will be difficult. However, both leaders seem willing and ready to meet the task head on and unwilling to abandon their efforts at forging new and friendlier bonds between our nations.
