After elections, presidents traditionally host a speech to the nation to reassure us all that it is full speed ahead for the U.S.A… and these speeches are especially necessary when a president’s party takes a drubbing. But now it looks like Biden might skip out of this tradition.
Not only will he skip the press conference, he appears prepared to skip out of the country by heading to Egypt for a state visit.
According to Breitbart News:
Joe Biden is refusing to commit to a post-midterm press conference and will be fleeing the country a little over 36 hours after polls close on Election Day.
Just ten days ago, and likely due to the fact that the red wave writing was clearly on the wall by then, the White House announced Biden would leave Thursday for Egypt to attend something called the COP 27, a globalist thing involving the corrupt United Nations and dedicated to furthering the Climate Change Hoax.
The Hill pointed out that past presidents have been very gracious when their party lost power:
In 1994, former President Bill Clinton lost control of both houses of Congress in the Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.)-led Republican Revolution. Clinton’s East Room statement was not only gracious but also recognized his own role in the Democrats’ loss of both chambers for the first time in 40 years: “I think that I have some responsibility for it. I am the president.”
Bush and Obama also delivered comments to the nation after their parties lost power in midterm elections.
It would be in keeping with petulant Biden to avoid this tradition.
We shall see.
