It has become the biggest convoy for freedom in North American history as more than 50,000 trucks have joined a caravan to Canada’s capital in Ottawa to protest the government’s draconian COVID policies.
According to the Toronto Sun, this amazing convoy is set to become the largest convoy in human history reaching upwards to 70 km long (43.5 miles) — crushing the previous record holder, the 7.5 km long convoy that occurred in Egypt in 2020.
This freedom convoy is headed to Ottawa and hopes to be there by Saturday.
This is no unsupported effort, either. Tens of thousands of Canadian citizens waving the red and white maple leaf flag of our northern neighbor are lining the streets as this gigantic convoy passes.
Many of these truckers are protesting the policy handed down by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who is demanding that all truckers get the vax or be fired. The new rules also force all American truckers crossing the border to be vaxed or they won’t be allowed to enter Canada.
A GoFundMe page to help the truckers pay for their convoy has already soared past seven million bucks!
As the GoFundMePage explains:
To our Fellow Canadians, the time for political overreach [sic] is over. Our current government is implementing rules and mandates that are destroying the foundation of our businesses, industries and livelihoods. Canadians have been integral to the fabric of humanity in many ways that have shaped the planet. We are taking our fight to the doorsteps of our Federal Government and demanding that they cease all mandates against its people. Small businesses are being destroyed, homes are being destroyed, and people are being mistreated and denied fundamental necessities to survive. It’s our duty as Canadians to put an end to this [sic] mandates. We are asking for Donations to help with the costs of fuel first, and hopefully food and lodgings to help ease the pressures of this arduous task.
This is the biggest mass protest of COVID policies in the Americas.
