Elon Musk, the left’s most recent target of hate just made himself more of a target, by saying that gun ownership is the best safeguard against government tyranny.

The heads of leftists began popping all across the country.

On Wednesday, Musk told CNBC via an email exchange that he is in favor of “tight background checks” for firearm sales and that he also supports restricting assault weapon sales to individuals in special situations, such as gun range proprietors or individuals residing in a “high risk location” such as areas with constant gang activity.

But he also peeved leftists by saying guns were necessary to prevent despotic governments.

“Regarding recent events, the shooters are obviously doing this to generate the most amount of attention possible. Why is the media doing exactly what the mass murderers want?” Musk told CNBC.

“I strongly believe that the right to bear arms is an important safeguard against potential tyranny of government. Historically, maintaining their power over the people is why those in power did not allow public ownership of guns,” Musk said.

This is yet another strike against leftism by Musk. Last week he also said that he used to vote for Democrats. But now he won’t.

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold,” he Tweeted.
