A California PE teacher was fired for refusing to lie to parents about students who want to undergo “gender transitions” per school rules requiring teachers to assist children to change genders without parental knowledge.

Jessica Tapias lost her job for sticking to her religious beliefs and refusing to aide kids to indulge in dangerous, unscientific gender politics in school and then lying to parents about it all.

The Jurupa Unified School District told Tapias that she would have to obey the school’s policies or face being fired.

Tapias told Fox News that she just could not act against her beliefs.

“I knew immediately, like in my gut, in my heart, in my soul, that there was a decision I had to make because, you know, these two things were totally butting heads,” Tapia said. “I essentially had to pick one. Am I going to obey the district in the directive that are not lining up with… my own beliefs, convictions and faith? Or am I going to stay true…, choose my faith, choose to be obedient to… the way the Lord has called me to live. And so it was crazy to be in the position where I realized that I couldn’t be a Christian and a teacher.”

Superintendent Trenton Hansen sent Tapias a letter telling her to toe the radical transgender line or join the unemployment line.

“Consequentially, the District will release you from your employment effective at the end of the day on January 31, 2023,” the notice from the radical superintendent said.

“I don’t believe in my faith that that’s how God’s calling us to love by affirming those lies and confusion,” Tapias told Fox. “I believe firmly that God created man and woman, and you are who he made you to be. And when someone has confusion about that, I believe that’s lies and confusion from the devil.”

The now former teacher is suing, as well she should.

The district, though, denies that is has discriminated against Tapias based on her religion.

“The District is required to comply with all state and federal laws, including the California Education Code which guarantees a student’s right to participate in sex-segregated school activities and to use facilities consistent with the student’s gender identity, regardless of the gender listed on the student’s records. The District is also obligated to protect a student’s right to privacy which is guaranteed by state and federal antidiscrimination laws and the California Constitution. The District will continue to protect the rights of all students and staff as required by law,” the district said in a statement.

It is discrimination, of course. Just because anti-kid educrat groomers made some illicit rules does not make it any less so.

But, worse than mere religious discrimination — which is bad enough in a nation built on religious freedom — this is a direct danger to California’s children. California is putting every child in danger by bowing to the radical, extremist, woke, left-wing political agenda that works against the health, welfare, safety, and education of children.
