Donald Trump has many qualified people to consider for appointments to his cabinet. He needs to think about positions other then just Vice President (VP). The VP can just be a space holder without much power. He/she is a tie breaker, they can become President if the President can’t full fill their duties. They serve at the pleasure of the President, and some were have been close advisers.

In review of the Obama administration how important are the cabinet positions or other high appointments like the IRS?  How well have Holder, Lynch, Clinton, and Kerry done their job?

We have been attacked by terrorists, how has Department of Home Land Security done?

Have the Departments of Interior and Agriculture allowed fires to gain fuel so they can destroy more property?

Have the EPA and department of Energy kept us more dependent on foreign oil?

What shape is our military in  as to number and effectiveness?

I favor Governors for many positions because they have executive or administrative experience. People in the House of Representatives understand the bureaucracy and can help navigate through it. Some senators have the qualification, but keeping the majority should be a consideration.

If they are willing to serve, I would consider:  Rudy Giuliani, Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Jan Brewer, Susana Martinez, Scott Walker, Mary Fallin,  Duncan Hunter, Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Dr. Ben Carson, Brian Sandoval, Allen West, Jim Webb, Mike Pence, Marsha Blackburn., and Mia Love. Perhaps Jeb Bush or Chris Christie for a position at HUD. John Kasich for Department of the Treasury. Ted Cruz or Jeff Sessions if control of the Senate doesn’t matter. As I said… many good options.
