Netflix took a ton of flack for turning out an ultra-woke series about Egypt’s Queen Cleopatra by turning her into black woman despite the well-known fact that she was a Greek woman, not an African. But, sometimes flack doesn’t add up to bad ratings… until there came Queen Cleopatra.

Hoo, boy, did this dog get roasted.

People were already mad enough that Netflix and the show’s executive producer Jada Pinkett Smith turned the fair-skinned historical figure who had a famous Roman nose into an afro-wearing black woman with a typical wide nose — 100 percent NOT who Cleopatra really was.

Sure, hot-button criticism does not always end up being reflected in negative ratings. But this time, the ratings came in even WORSE than the advanced criticism. Indeed, this time the ratings were some of the worst in recent memory.

Per Breitbart News:

Forbes magazine reports the controversial production has not just garnered the lowest audience score in Netflix history on debut, it has essentially the lowest audience score possible on Rotten Tomatoes at one percent.

Not a 10 percent. A one percent, although Forbes reports it has later stumbled upwards to hit the giddy heights of two percent.

Still an unprecedented low.

Forbes was shocked by the low numbers and noted, “Fans usually rate things higher than critics, even bad shows, and the point being, a 1 per cent audience score seems borderline mathematically impossible, even with the controversy the film has attracted.”

What a complete disaster.

And well deserved.
