Blacks Less Safe in Anti-Gun Calf. as Only the Rich Can Afford Self-Protection

California has made owning a firearm so expensive that middle class and poorer residents can’t afford to keep themselves safe, and only rich can afford guns as the state continues to devolve into chaos.

The owner of Beverly Hill’s single gun store recently appeared on Fox News to lament the situation in the Golden State.

Beverly Hills Guns owner Russell Stuart told Fox that he feels bad that so many new customers have been coming to him telling him that they never liked guns but now they are too afraid to be without one in California — especially women.

Stuart added that people of every stripe, every class, and every political persuasion are buying guns at his store.

Geneva Solomon, the co-owner of Black-owned Redstone Firearms in Los Angeles County’s Burbank, said that left-wing gun control laws have tended to make poor people less safe, especially blacks. And California’s laws have become so restrictive that most people aren’t allowed to have a gun.

Per Fox:

She pointed to California’s complicated process of getting a concealed carry permit, saying single, Black parents in the state, for example, may have difficulty proving they have “good cause” for gun ownership.

“If the single parent is walking home and can’t prove that they’re ‘important’ by having money or high-value items taken from them, it may be really hard,” Solomon told Fox News Digital. “Which goes back to the ‘just cause’ requirement of the insurance of the CCW. Having ‘just cause’ is too big of a gray area. That means it’s up for interpretation of the person interviewing you and can lead to underlying bias.”

Indeed, it is so expensive to get permits and afford the increasingly higher prices, that guns are pretty much only for the rich.

Solomon added…

…that although proving just cause for gun ownership is needed, “there are also people who feel they are important,” “and should have the same access to be able to protect themselves.”

“California has gun control by ZIP code,” according to Solomon, which leaves individual cities and counties responsible for processing conceal carry permits. In Los Angeles County, Sheriff Alex Villanueva vowed over the summer to expand concealed carry permits amid the county reporting spikes in murders, rapes, aggravated assaults and car thefts.

This is what the left wants, folks.

They want to make guns so expensive that no one but the ultra-rich can afford them. That is how they plan to implement mass gun control.
