Even as Joe Biden winds up his 87,000 new IRS agents to attack the middle class and take more money from us, his IRS also gave away more than $1 billion if so-called “COVID relief” money to people in jail.

According to numbers revealed by the Washington Free Beacon, the IRS gave away $1.1 billion of our tax dollars to prisoners over the last two years.

Of the criminals who got free money from Biden’s IRS, 163,000 of them are serving life sentences. Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon learned this from the IRS in a letter that the Free Beacon was able to obtain.

“The American Rescue Plan was reckless in the amount of massive spending with no off-sets,” Bacon told the Free Beacon. “Giving stimulus checks to death row inmates is a glaring example. This bill triggered the worst inflation in 41 years, costing the average family $500 a month. The poor suffer the most.”

“Democrats had every opportunity to stop taxpayer dollars from going to convicted criminals,” Mike Palicz, federal affairs manager for Americans for Tax Reform, said to the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Instead, Democrats blocked a Republican amendment that would’ve prevented inmates from receiving stimulus payments and sent up to $1,400 checks to more than one million incarcerated criminals.”

Why did these prisoners need our tax dollars?

You and I both know they did not.

Meanwhile, Biden is giving billions more of our money to the IRS to hire 87,000 new stormtroopers to fan out to squeeze more money from the middle class.

Does this sound like what the government should be doing?
