WOW! Do I smell a set up or what?

The Washington Post reported a few days ago that, “A teacher [Dennis Alexander] who is also a reserve police officer trained in firearm use ‘accidentally’ discharged a gun Tuesday at Seaside High School in Monterey County, California, during a class devoted to public safety, school officials said in a statement.”

Folks – this story is just too convenient not to be given closer scrutiny by authorities. It won’t because it’s California, but it should. And in a class specifically “devoted to public safety.” Please. Also, by sheer coincidence, the incident happened one day prior to the national student walkout against everything guns.

“I can’t find the words to say how sorry I am for the incident,” he said at the packed meeting attended by about 100 students who supported Alexander.

“Police have said Alexander was pointing the gun at the ceiling Tuesday to make sure it was not loaded when it discharged inside his classroom at Seaside High School.” The ceiling? And this guy is trained in the proper handling of firearms? Again – please!

According to police, Alexander did not get authorization to bring the gun on campus. Sounds like something a leftist radical might do to prove a point. Just saying.

And second: I’ve been handling firearms for decades – Shotguns, rifles, select-fire long guns (scary “assault” rifles), revolvers and semi-auto pistols. Never has one ever “accidentally” discharged. Miss fire, yes, but not just discharged on its own. Inanimate objects don’t have minds of their own. They don’t just go off willy-nilly. The person holding it must manipulate the object by depressing the trigger – or abuse the weapon to cause it to operate improperly.

Yes, I’ve heard stories of accidentally discharging a pistol, but that’s a loaded statement. If one depresses or “pulls” the trigger without intending to – is that not an accident? “I didn’t mean to. It was an accident.”

In my opinion an accidental discharge is virtually impossible. Nothing is ever 100%, so I won’t say impossible – although, I’m thinking it. Virtually all supposed “accidental” weapon discharges are misclassified and should instead be labeled as “negligent” discharges. Accidently pulling the trigger is negligence. Not properly cleaning, maintaining and handling a weapon are negligence. Not properly checking for “weapon empty” is negligence. Slow is smooth. When checking for a round in the chamber, jacking the rail or slide back and then just letting it snap back under force, like some “gansta” in the movies, is negligent.

Always assume a weapon is loaded and ready to fire until you confirm otherwise. This means to follow standard firearms safety protocols – like not pointing it in the air. What goes up, must come down – like bullets. Anything less is not accidental – it’s negligent.

Everything leftists do is based on what kind of political gain they can achieve and nothing else. This gain of course equates to increased political power and control of the citizenry. It must be this way for “our” own good, because they know better what’s good for us than do we.

It matters little if they lie or cheat, even to the point of weaponizing government agencies to achieve an end, as long as it is achieved – for the good of the community.

Anything goes with the left, including exaggerated, and out and out lying about anything pertaining to guns, including that they can just “go off” at any time. How convenient, as the right attempts to arm teachers and staff in the nation’s schools.

This may turn out to just be a weird coincidence, but it sure seems to me to be a made to order set up.
