At a rally on Saturday night, Donald Trump was rushed off the rally podium in Reno, Nevada while a protester rushed the stage. The crowd yelled “gun” which immediately threw the rally into an uproar with thousands scattering in all directions. Video of the attempt can be found below.
Trump’s Secret Service detail immediately rushed to protect the Republican candidate for President and rushed him off-stage while local police and Secret Service agents threw the suspect to the ground.
Never deterred in the face of adversity, the Donald returned to the podium stage briefly after the protester was arrested and used the incident as an opportunity to celebrate the Secret Service and their ability to keep him safe.
“Nobody said it was going to be easy for us,’ Trump boldly declared. ‘But we will never be stopped. Never, never be stopped.’ ‘I want to thank the Secret Service. These guys are fantastic. They don’t get enough credit. They don’t get enough credit. They’re amazing people.’
‘You were amazing, fellas,’ he said.
‘I saw what you were doing. That’s a tough group of people right that… Nobody messes with our people, right?’
While the bravery of the Secret Service is never in question, the motives and agenda of the would-be attacker is. Predictably enough, the mainstream media has yet to broadly report on this story while it has set social media ablaze. If this attempt had been made on Hillary, suffice it to say it would lead the news every segment between now and the election on Tuesday.
