At a press-conference after BRICS Summit in October 2016, Putin was asked a question:
– “Russian – American relations have suffered due to the Syrian situation?”
– “No way … Let’s recall what happened in Yugoslavia,” – said Putin. “That’s where the story begins … They don’t like independent points of view. That’s their problem …”
(“They” and “their” means American administration – my comment).
