Presidential Candidate Evan McMullin to Deliver Major Speech on American Leadership and National Security

Washington, DC: Evan McMullin, former CIA undercover intelligence officer and independent candidate for President, will deliver a major address on his vision of a new era in American foreign policy and national security leadership. The event is being hosted by Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Policy.

DATE: 9/20/2016

TIME: 6:30 PM

LOCATION: Georgetown University
Healy Family Student Center
The Social Room
3700 O St. NW
Washington, DC 20057

DESCRIPTION:

Evan McMullin will speak about his vision for American leadership that is both strong and principled. Not since the fall of the Soviet Union has the United States faced such serious threats to its national security. The Islamic State has launched a global terror campaign, Russia is threatening Europe, North Korea is testing its nuclear weapons capabilities, China is bullying its neighbors, and Iran continues to launch ballistic missiles and destabilize the region.

We have reached this dangerous crossroads because of a deficit of American leadership. Evan will speak about how we must strengthen our alliances, rebuild our military, stand up for human rights, and break decisively with the practice of leading from behind. A President committed to a new era of American leadership can overcome the national security challenges ahead and promote prosperity, peace, and freedom in the world.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This event is open to the public and press. Press should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event. Per the agreement with Georgetown University, questions during the event are only open to students. Evan is available for interviews after the event.
