What if both parties are so ashamed of their nominee and the disastrous, bungling embarrassments that their respective administrations will be that they are throwing the election for the other side?

It has long been pontificated that Donald Trump never expected to get this far and many question if he actually wants to win. And will he actually agree to serve if he does win?

Recently, Donald Trump allowed his most bitter rival Senator Ted Cruz to deliver a speech at the RNC Convention, that he had pre-approved, in which Senator Ted Cruz reminded Trumps supporters of the Republican Parties History of fighting for freedom – the importance of fighting for that freedom – the dangers of not fighting for it and finally encouraged everyone in attendance to vote their conscience. At that moment everyone in the building knew he wasn’t talking about Donald Trump. Sen. Cruz walked off the stage without uttering the word “endorse,” just as Trump knew beforehand.

Why would he allow that?

In the aftermath of the RNC Convention, as the DNC was launching their own Convention amidst the scandal of the DNC leaked emails which claim that the DNC colluded with MSNBC and CBS to suppress and manipulate coverage of the Bernie Sanders campaign, Donald Trump choose to re-up on his #LyinTed rhetoric instead of pouncing on the red meat the DNC left him.

Why?

Cruz lost.

What is to be gained by the continued attacks?

Hillary is the enemy now.

Will the Trump Campaign ever bring the wrecking ball that we all saw in the primary to bear on the greatest enemy our Republic has ever seen?

Trump seems only moderately interested in beating her. The #LyinTed brand seems to still be outselling #CrookedHillary, no?

Reminiscent of the mad scientist from “Meet the Robinson’s” when speaking to the bungling T-Rex swinging his small hands wildly at an enemy that was trapped in a corner.

“Why aren’t you destroying them?”

To which the T-Rex responds via subtitle:

“Because I have a huge head and little arms!” Lamenting the fact that his gigantic cranium (or in Trump’s case his ego) was keeping his tiny arms from grabbing the enemy. [quote paraphrased]

So Donald, why aren’t you destroying her?

Hillary Clinton has given Donald J. Trump and the Republican Party enough crime, scandal, corruption, death and destruction to sink a dozen presidential bids—yet they can’t even get it to sink one.

In case you have forgotten the laundry list of ammunition The Clinton’s have left a willing opponent– there is a great article detailing every joy and tittle here.

With the now developing DNC Leaked emails story dominating the news cycle as the DNC Convention launches, our nightly newscast has become an exercise of contrasting the corruption of the POTUS Candidates on either side.

There is exhaustive opposition research to prove that Donald Trump is a complete phony and quite possibly insane.

So why isn’t Hillary destroying him?

What if that is the way it was intended to go?

What if both parties are trying to wash their hands of whatever “the best we have” happens to be?

In regards to political strategy– I have heard many within the #NeverTrump camp quote the “Hamilton Rule.”

“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.”

— Alexander Hamilton

While it is my contention that this quote is out of context and not the best historical analogy to describe the 2016 Election, it is however, one which many have adopted.

But, what if the Democrats are using this strategy too?

What if their plans are to let Donald Trump win, so they can oppose him—so they can Trumpet (sorry) his bungling from the rooftops—eviscerate the House and Senate in the wake of his potential buffoonery and achieve their ultimate goal of a Liberal Progressive “dark-age” in America?

Why else would the DNC attempt to thrust the weakest candidate they could possibly find upon us?

I can hear Bryan Cranston saying “This is the best bad idea we have Sir, by far.”

I spoke earlier about the weakness of the Hamilton analogy – another famous quote that I have heard in regards choosing between Trump and Clinton is from C.H. Spurgeon.

He said:

“Of two evils’, choose neither.”

There is a difference between a sinner and one who is in league with the prince of darkness.

One must bear in mind the context of these two quotes– the historical time frame and the fact that neither one of them are completely applicable in 2016. Mankind has descended considerably further down the ladder of moral devolution since Spurgeon or Hamilton’s time.

When pondering these statements (and the stratagem they would incite) over the past handful of months I was reminded of a much more poignant, more modern and therefore more applicable statement– penned by a well loved and respected Christian Author, C.S. Lewis, in the aftermath of Nazi Germany’s attacks on England in WW2. He watched an evil dictator march through the streets of his homeland.

This is what he said,

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

It is abundantly clear to me that Donald Trump is the robber baron and Hillary Clinton is the tyrant who rules with an iron fist because she feels it is her moral obligation to cure us of our “disease.” For our own good.

She is the embodiment of Orwell’s “Big Brother.” Hillary is a zealot of the Liberal Progressive Church of government dependence, gender politics, inclusion of moral and religious depravity, infant sacrifice and anti-Christian bigotry. Like “The Terminator” she absolutely will not stop, ever– until we (our Christian Republic) is dead.

A Clinton Presidency is a shotgun placed in the mouth of our Nation and checking the box next to her name in November is opening the door to which the trigger is strung.

A Trump Presidency may well prove to be our death by a thousand cuts, but he may eventually cry himself to sleep on his yuuuge pillow.

Now that was offside wasn’t it?
