Ever heard conservative figures such as Rush, Mark Levin, Rick Roberts, etc. complain about how Congress fails to use the power of the purse to curtail the progressive agenda of the Administration? Ever ask yourself, “What can I do?” Well, simply put, we can unite and do what Congress has failed to do – make a sacrifice and use our “power of the purse.”

Grant so many of us complain about how bad things are and sincerely tried to use the power of the vote these most recent 4 election cycles, only to be sold down the river by politicians who are either too comfortable in their elitist lifestyles funded by lobbyists, or who lack the courage to execute their duty and hold the Administration accountable for its immense over-reach of constitutional authority.

I’m sick of people saying “There’s nothing else we can do?” Really; nothing else? That’s not entirely true. With that attitude, we’d be singing Deutschland Uber Alles, instead of the Star Spangled Banner at sporting events. There is a great deal Americans can do. The question is; “Do we have the courage to make sacrifices, similar to those our grandparents and great grandparents made just 75 years ago?” The “great generation” experienced food and fuel rationing and worked tirelessly conducting drives for scrap metal, aluminum cans and rubber to fight against the tyrannical onslaught of Nazism and Imperialism.

Today, we fight and even greater evil, a battle for the heart and soul of our exceptional American principles; our God-given rights of faith, free-speech, conscience; the very fabric of our constitutional government. The hearts and minds of our children and grandchildren are at stake, as well as their ability to survive under a socialist economic system that voraciously seeks to consume all productivity as the property of the state through taxes and regulation; the welfare state.

Truth is distorted, over-looked and ignored by a complex media network focused on deceiving Americans in order to advance the progressive agenda. This isn’t conspiracy theory because the behavior and facts speak for themselves.

So who’s responsible? We are, the American people for continuing to support organizations with our disposable income, companies that have overwhelmingly supported this agenda for years.

Below is just a short list of companies/businesses (source: Open Secrets) that have been the major contributors to liberal candidates, PACs and lobbying efforts to advance those same initiatives that turn our stomachs. Take a good look, and these are just a few. You can add investment organizations like Goldman Sachs, J. P. Morgan; and affiliated attorneys such as Skadden, Arps et al or Susman Godfrey.

We have the real power of the purse and can fight back on two fronts; contributing to true conservative candidates and voting AGAINST the progressives at every turn (not necessarily ‘for’ a candidate); thoughtfully placing our disposable income with companies and businesses that are at best neutral, if not right-leaning.

One of the greatest offenders on this list is AARP. Its lobbying efforts to push through Obamacare and other legislation topped $35 million in 2008, selling its constituency and the rest of this country down the river. It’s about time we make the information public, name names and stop supporting any of these business interests; from where we buy groceries and consumables to what services we subscribe, what technology we use, even what movies we’ll pay to see. It’s time for America to fight back with its massive pocketbook, painful as it may be in the short term; it’s the end game that’s at stake.
