Democrats are staging a sit-in on the House floor to push for action on gun control legislation. Dozens of Democrats were participating in the sit-in shortly that began late Tuesday morning, with some lawmakers seated cross-legged on the floor. The question is, why? Why are the Democrats trying to follow in Ted Cruz’s ability to hold the Senate at bay with a filibuster, when filibusters are not allowed, or acknowledged within the House of Representatives?
11:30 pm on Wednesday the sit-in is still in progress, but the House of Representatives is now in recess. So what is the outcome if you yell in the forest and the only thing that hears you is a tree? Nothing, except playing a publicity stunt, and being a distraction.
Paul Ryan’s response was one of true decorum and dignified when he stated he will not stop the people’s business, and sees this distraction as nothing more than a publicity stunt by democrats.
The losers are all American’s who sent these Liberals to Washington D.C. to work, and not sing songs from the sixties. At times you could hear echoing in the empty halls songs like “we shall overcome” and then “We shall pass a bill one day”. That is pure publicity stunt working in the most disgusting way possible. These Democrats are acting like little children who did not get their way, even though they are completely aware of the rules, and legal bindings to the house.
While these childish tactics were being perpetrated on the American citizen, the House still continued with unrelated votes that had been scheduled to take place, and even when these childish adults screamed trying to over speak Ryan, the votes continued on. The whole display of ignoring rules and the binding regulations for the House would remind one completely of the Baltimore riots, where the cause was not there, but gave an excuse to destroy. In the House, there is no cause since there are already background checks in place for buying guns, so what would the outcome be? The only outcome would be a limit one more time of American’s guaranteed freedoms written in the Constitution.
Speaker Ryan does have the option to require the Sergeant at Arms to stop and remove any detractor in the house, and the calls for this to occur are getting louder as the fool-hearted loud display of ignorance of the Constitution is on display. Since there is no filibuster allowed in the House, then any interruption as being displayed is a reason to remove all Democrats trying to bully their way to controlling Americans just a little bit more.
Democrats have been pressing for action on gun control before the House leaves at the end of this week for a planned recess. Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), the veteran lawmaker who was brutally beaten by police in the civil rights march from Selma, Ala., began the sit-in with a speech on the floor where he was surrounded by dozens of his colleagues. The liberals are good at creating a bleeding heart cry for people to become more PC, but Americans are more than aware of their tactics at this point, and this endeavor is in jest.
