The latest and final Benghazi report has been issued by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HSPCI) and boy it’s a bombshell. Or is it? And even if it is – so what!

USA TODAY reports that, “House Republicans on Tuesday concluded a two-year investigation into the 2012 terror attacks in Benghazi with an 800-page report that blames politically motivated bureaucratic delays for failing to prevent or stop the deadly attacks that claimed four American lives.”

Oh there were bureaucratic delays and failures all right – purposeful – and I still believe that this was never as it was reported by the press, nor in the 800 page HSPCI report. The situation in Benghazi was just too weird to be chalked up to bureaucratic bungling. Early on, I wrote about it here and here.

The Republicans found that “despite President Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s clear orders to deploy military assets, nothing was sent to Benghazi, and nothing was en route to Libya at the time the last two Americans were killed almost 8 hours after the attacks began,” writes USA TODAY.

I don’t care what the “Republicans” found. If the Commander in Chief and the Sec Def give direct orders to deploy – you deploy – period. That’s total crap!

But all of this is as is it always is in Washington – really expensive political theater. We know for a fact that Obama, Hillary, Susan Rice – all lied and people died. And as they are all Democrats, the curtain will draw closed on the political theater with not a damn soul being jailed, prosecuted, indicted or even charged.

Yesterday on his radio show, Rush Limbaugh said: “To watch the media today after Gowdy and his committee went out there and they all made statements, announced the substance of their report, summary-wise, it was clear that the media is not interested in what’s in the report, which doesn’t surprise me. I’m just telling you. They don’t care what’s in the report. They’re characterizing the report in two ways. They’re saying, A, nothing new, and, B, Hillary had nothing to do with it. The committee does not indict Hillary Clinton. The committee does not lay blame at the feet of Hillary Clinton.”

Can I get DUH? Of course that’s what the democrat media will say. They are entirely predictable. But so are the Republicans – predictably spineless.

Tough guy former prosecutor, representative Trey Gowdy says the report “is a series of heroic acts by our fellow Americans and what we can do to prevent the next [attack],” Mr. Gowdy said. “Yes, Hillary Clinton was the secretary of state at the time. I can’t get around that fact. But the focus of this report is on exactly what the families asked us to focus on, and shame on the Democrats for figuring that out two years too late.” He added that “democrats would ‘shocked’ if they bother to read the report.”

Why would they do that Mr. Gowdy? They are democrats, whose soul purpose is to circle the wagons around Clinton, et al. And you, who are the head of the Committee charged with investigated and bringing to justice any wrong doers, only did what the families and Speaker Boehner asked of you? For real?!

Don’t catch and prosecute the guy who robbed the bank, Mr. Prosecutor – just figure out how to prevent the next robbery.

This administration has blood on its hands and it doesn’t seem to matter in the least to the Republicans. Once again it appears they are more concerned with not being seen as the bad guys – as if this fallout from this horrific incident might be seen as a witch hunt, with Hillary starring as the head witch (all too fitting). So much so that Gowdy can’t even bring himself to say anything more than “read the report.”

Trump said months ago that, “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.” I’m not sure if that is true, but I do know that after this display by the republicans, Hillary could do the same and have no fear of GOP reprisal.

Judge Andrew Napolitano said on Fox that the democrats desperately want this to go away, but he insists it won’t. That’s just wishful thinking in my opinion. Other than tough talk, which republican(s) will step up?

Justice for the Ambassador and the three fallen heroes – maybe next time guys. What a pack of pathetic weaklings the republicans are!
