From CNN, Latest Update 12:10 AM EST: Eleven police officers have been shot in Dallas, according to city police Chief David Brown. Three officers have died: one DART officer and two Dallas police officers, Brown said.
Thursday night turned horrific in Dallas, Texas as protests against the recent deaths of two black men by police grew violent.
The deaths of Alton Spencer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Philando Castile in Minneapolis, Minnesota sparked protests and unrest across the nation this week. The vast majority of the outcry had been peaceful but that all changed on Thursday night when someone began targeting police officers for harm in Dallas, Texas.
As of 11:30 PM at least 3 officers in Dallas are dead and at least 10 others are wounded.

“Tonight it appears that two snipers shot ten police officers from elevated positions during the protest/rally. Three officers are deceased, two are in surgery and three are in critical condition. An intensive search for suspects is currently underway. No suspects are in custody at this time. We ask that any citizen with information regarding the shootings tonight call 214-671-3482.”
