We are so happy to have you here with us at iPatriot.com.
We wanted to write a short note offering a bit of explanation as to what we are doing here in our little corner of the Internet, and also to give you some background about who iPatriot is and why we’re doing this.
For too long we, the public, have been at the mercy of the major mass media in America. First it was the major print media, the New York Times, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, etc. Then it was the broadcast networks, CBS, NBC, ABC. Then it was the cable networks – CNN, MSNBC, Fox News. Finally, the major Internet companies came along and have been as corrupt as their forbears — Google, Facebook, Yahoo –all are as openly biased and unjust as the media companies who came before them.
Our answer to this problem is iPatriot.
iPatriot will allow you, the public, to report on the news as it breaks where you are. It will also allow you, the citizens, to give your opinions on the day’s most important stories. iPatriot will also give you, the consumer, the opportunity to decided which stories should be heard, shared, and reported upon. In short, iPatriot gives the power to the People.
So, what are we asking of you?
We are looking for writers – millions of them – to write about anything and everything that tickles their fancy.
- 200-1000 word essays on the topics that you care about.
- They will be lightly edited (for readability).
- We will provide an image (if necessary).
- We will add a headline and tags to accompany your work.
It will have your byline and you will get full credit for the piece.
Many of you already do this every day on your social media pages or your own personal blogs. We are asking you to consider doing it at our new site.
Why? Why would you switch from your comfortable Facebook page to a new website?
One word. READERS.
We can offer you the opportunity to put your work in front of millions of people. That’s right, I said MILLIONS.
You report the stories and we’ll make sure millions of people see it. Join us. Together we can change everything about the way that news is reported.
You Report. You Decide. iPatriot.
